Tips for PGDM Admissions 2022

Below we have enlisted some top tips that one must follow while seeking PGDM admissions 2022.

  • Check Eligibility Criteria: Different PGDM colleges have different criteria for the admission process, for instance, IIMs accept CAT score, on the other hand, XLRI accept XAT score, so research well before applying.
  • Select the Type of Program: PGDM v/s MBA: There are many top B-Schools in India offering either MBA or PGDM courses. Institutions such as XLRI, FMS Delhi, Symbiosis Pune, etc. offer PGDM courses. On the other hand, according to the IIM Act, the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) will provide MBA courses. Hence, before applying for these courses, students should check a suitable course of their choice offered by the institute.
  • Calculate Tuition Fees: Tuition fees for PGDM courses range between INR 1,00,000 to INR 20,00,000 in India. However, some institutions may charge additional charges to make up for the quantum of the tuition fees. In such cases, students are advised to check the detailed program fees structure along with its breakdown.
  • Check Rankings and Accreditations of the Institute: Students are advised to check the accreditations and ranking of a college or university on NIRF accreditations conducted by the GoI before enrollment.
  • Select Institute from a preferred set of Cities or Top PGDM Universities: The credibility of a professional PGDM course lies in upscaling employability. Thus one should keep such factors in mind prior to applying for a college, as PGDM colleges located in a bustling and developed city or industrial hub would generate more employment.
  • Check for Alumni History: Getting insights from alumni or ex-students of a college/university will add up to the relevance of a particular institute or college.
  • Evaluate Infrastructure and Facilities: A good atmosphere is one of the main factors that help create a student environment and adds a great learning experience.
